2       Opening Day Saturday, June 23 was a success. Chris Brighting, Joyce Furness and Ruth Vandervoort, our staff members, were all there for a few hours to learn the routine. Dave covered the paper work, Chet the financial and Ken did a short tour of the collection. Quite a few visitors arrived. Joyce and Ken began the process of documenting more interpretive comments for artifacts. Participation by others is needed; contact Dave if interested.

4       The Mini Gallery setup in the foyer has begun. Joyce is leading the set-up. If you know of local artists interested in displaying works for sale on a consignment basis, have them contact Joyce. Works of a nature or forestry theme are preferred. Some of Joyce's work can be seen here

5       The Merrill & Ring Logging Camp N-scale (1:160) Diorama looks terrific. Thanks again to Peter Sansburn for making and donating this to the museum. Gerry and Dave completed the plexiglass protection. If the train falls off the track when operating the model, just call Ken; he enjoys putting it back on the track.
