This display has five photos taken on Dec 2, 2000, when the skid parts that were fabricated at the Farmers Market in September were delivered to the display location, at the head of the second beach trail.

skid1.jpg (20108 bytes) Bob Millar with his front end loader levelled the site and moved the cross support logs into place.
skid2.jpg (26436 bytes) John from Kip Brown Trucking unloads the crossbeams using the self loading grapple
skid3.jpg (26440 bytes) The truck was loaded with the logs the wrong way, so the grapple was used to rotate the logs 180degrees as they were lifted off the truck.
skid4.jpg (23882 bytes) The logging truck grapple moved the logs to their approximate position.
skid5.jpg (25243 bytes) The front-end loader moves the logs to the final location, and brings over the crosspieces for assembly.
